The service

Kinva is a free educational website for learning academic English vocabulary. We provide word lists, pronunciation, translations, review exercises, and daily practice texts. The service is supported by advertising.

Your account

You need an account to use Kinva. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. You must provide a real email address. One person should not operate many accounts to abuse the service.

Acceptable use

When commenting on posts, be respectful. You may not post content that is abusive, hateful, illegal, deceptive, or spam. You may not attempt to access other users' data, disrupt the service, scrape content at scale, or use automated tools to interact with the site. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Your content

Comments you post publicly remain yours, but you grant us permission to display them on the site. Your saved exercise answers are private to you. You may delete your comments and saved answers at any time, and you may permanently delete your entire account from your profile.

Our content

The Kinva name, logo, design, and original learning materials belong to Kinva. You may use the site for personal learning, including in classrooms, but you may not copy the service or resell its content.

No guarantees

Kinva is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted, and we are not liable for damages arising from use of the site to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above will change and significant updates will be announced in the app. Continuing to use Kinva after changes means you accept them.
